A message from the Director of Transfer and Veteran Services

Welcome to the Transfer and Reentry Center at UC Davis!  Warmly referred to as the TRC by our transfer population, this is the official transfer center for all of nearly eight-thousand transfer and reentry students at UC Davis. Located in 1210 Dutton Hall between Financial Aid and the Cashiers Office, the TRC assists all transfer students (junior college or community college to UC Davis, UC to UC Davis, out of state to UC Davis) and reentry students (+25 and/or student parents). Through our Transfer Pathways model we strive to address the needs and concerns of the whole student from your very first day at UC Davis to graduation and beyond. Our two-unit transitional courses will help you adjust to classroom rigor, sharpen your study skills and connect you to the valuable campus resources that will support your academic and personal success.  Our staff of five trained peer advisors are the center’s “eyes and ears” to the transfer community. They are available to meet with students, provide general advice and share their experiences and strategies for success. In addition to our peer staff we have two career staff who work exclusively with our transfer and reentry student population. I encourage you to explore the endless possibilities you'll find here at UC Davis. Make the most of the resources available for you to create the academic and personal success you've always imagined.

Warm regards,

Hope M. Medina, Ph.D.
