    Casa is offering a Winter Quarter 2019 FYAC seminar through the Spanish Department. This seminar will focus on creating a space in Casa for all of you to engage and express through language. We will explore how Spanish and being bilingual/bicultural creates and develops our identities as Chicanx/Latinx students in the US. You will have the opportunity to be academically supported by faculty and graduate students.

  • Middle Eastern and South Asian (ME/SA) Identity and Academic Success

    Middle Eastern and South Asian (ME/SA) Identity and Academic Success is a First Year Aggie Connection seminar that supports the success of first-year students of Middle Eastern and South Asian backgrounds at UC Davis. Students will critically explore what their ME/SA identity means to them, both on campus and off-campus, and how their identity connects to how they envision academic and personal success. Through the course we will envision and create a plan of action on how to advocate for our respective ME/SA identities and what our collective future could look like, while we simultaneously build community with each other through creative avenues.

  • BioLaunch: First-Year Experience Program

    The College of Biological Science BioLaunch Program is an opportunity for first-year students to develop community and orient themselves within the College of Biological Sciences their first year at UC Davis. The program aims to allow students the opportunity to engage more closely with faculty; to introduce the students to the full range of research opportunities at CBS; to create a greater sense of community within the college; to encourage students to use the advising resources within and outside the college.
